About the role
We’re looking for a passionate and organised kitchen professional to lead from the front.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards
- Design and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Monitor food stock, place orders, and manage inventory
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Control food costs and minimize waste
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Creativity and attention to detail
Work Environment
- Restaurants, hotels, catering companies, or private kitchens
- Requires standing for long hours and working evenings, weekends, and holidays
