About the role

We’re looking for a passionate and organised kitchen professional to lead from the front. 

In this role you will be responsible for: 

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards
  • Design and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • Monitor food stock, place orders, and manage inventory
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Control food costs and minimize waste
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Creativity and attention to detail

Work Environment

  • Restaurants, hotels, catering companies, or private kitchens
  • Requires standing for long hours and working evenings, weekends, and holidays
