Job Title:      General Assistant

Reports to: Supervisor/Duty Manager

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
• Assist in meal preparation and ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
• Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is essential.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the restaurant industry is highly desirable.
• A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills will be advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
