Bar Team Member - Guildford Mulligans

Step into a vibrant role where you will be the face of our food and beverage experience! As a key member of the team at Adventure Leisure’s Guildford site, you will take charge behind the bar, serving up great drinks and creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back for more.

Your mission? Deliver outstanding service with every pour, ensuring customers enjoy a smooth, memorable experience. From crafting drinks to maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar, you will be at the heart of the action. You will also play a big part in driving revenue through smart upselling of beverages and snacks, making every visit even more enjoyable for our guests.

This isn’t just about serving drinks, it’s about being part of something bigger. With your energy and commitment to excellence, you will help position Guildford Mulligans as the go-to destination for fun, food, and fantastic hospitality.

This role primarily involves working behind the bar. However, in the future, you may be asked to assist with other duties across the venue as outlined in the accountabilities below. Please note: As this role includes serving alcohol, applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Operations

  • Maintain positive and effective relationships with customers and colleagues.

  • Assist with the care and maintenance of all assets, inventory, and resources of the location.

Course Marshall

  • Ensure customers are adhering to the course rules and regulations.

  • Ensure that slow play/progress is kept to a minimum.

  • Reinforce Health & Safety notices as required.

Kitchen

  • Contribute to the preparation of all food for casual and function dining.

  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.

  • Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available.

  • Review all bookings for catered activities.

  • Adhere to and maintain all Health, Safety & Hygiene rules and regulations WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

  • Advise the duty manager of any items/ingredients to be ordered in a timely manner.

People

  • Ensure personal compliance within the BGL Academy is 100% at all times.

  • Maintain a strong network with fellow Adventure Leisure colleagues to support robust collaboration.

 

Financial

  • Implement and monitor all financial controls and ensure personal responsibility for all cash handling.

  • Complete month end procedures for retail in line with BGL company stock taking procedures.

  • Adhere and monitor compliance of purchasing policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all BGL procedures and policies are adhered to.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure that all team members consistently deliver outstanding service levels to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

 

KEY EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

 

Experience

  • 1 years’ experience working in a hands-on customer facing role – Essential

  • Experience working as part of a large team – Essential

  • Experience working in Food and Beverage - Essential

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills: Verbal, Written and Listening.

  • Prioritisation skills – the ability to plan work activities and to use time efficiently.

  • Good Presentation Skills

  • Good Time management and organisation skills

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good GCSE educational standard (essential)
