Thornbury Golf Club is seeking an experienced, motivated Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales function. This is a hands-on role for a proactive individual who thrives on building relationships, driving revenue, and leading a small, dynamic team.

The Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing two Sales Executives, while personally driving new business across memberships, events, corporate golf days, and society bookings. You will act as an ambassador for Thornbury Golf Club, actively promoting the club within the local business and community network.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage two Sales Executives, setting clear targets and KPIs

• Proactively generate new business through networking, outreach, and relationship building

• Identify and develop opportunities for memberships, corporate partnerships, events, and societies

• Maintain and grow relationships with existing members, clients, and partners

• Represent Thornbury Golf Club at networking events, exhibitions, and local business forums

• Work closely with the Club Management team to develop and deliver sales strategies

• Track performance, report on sales activity, and forecast future revenue

• Ensure an exceptional customer journey from initial enquiry through to conversion

About You

• Proven experience in a sales management or senior sales role (hospitality, leisure, golf, or events preferred)

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring a sales team

• Highly proactive, confident networker with excellent communication skills

• Results-driven with a strong commercial mindset

• Professional, personable, and passionate about delivering outstanding service

• Comfortable working flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends for events
