Shropshire Golf Centre is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in our kitchen, supporting our chefs in delivering excellent service to members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including food prep areas, equipment, utensils, and crockery

  • Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and ensure all cleaning duties are carried out to a high standard

  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required (e.g. peeling, chopping)

  • Ensure waste is correctly segregated and disposed of following health & safety standards

  • Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, and storage areas regularly

  • Ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with clean equipment and report shortages to the Head Chef

  • Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards (e.g. COSHH, HACCP)

  • Support the team during events, functions, and peak service times

  • Carry out deep cleaning tasks on a scheduled basis

Requirements:

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent team player with a proactive and positive attitude

  • Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks

  • Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety (training can be provided)

  • Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and event days
