About the role

Working within the Sales Team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets. Arranging appointments and following up in person, over the phone and through email and producing ideas for generating leads. Meeting with wedding couples and event organisers to accomplish the sale and organisation of weddings and large functions on a weekly basis. Additional responsibility for the communication of clients needs to F&B team for successful delivery. Training on the prospecting and booking systems will be provided, a responsibility to maintain a thorough knowledge will be required.

 

Daily Tasks Include

1)     Handling and converting enquiries in a timely manner to company standards through telephone and email, with aims of creating appointments to attain sales.

2)     Touring prospective clients around the venue fulfilling the criteria set out in your training and maximising upselling opportunities.

3)     Contacting/meeting event organisers and wedding couples to confirm final details and take payments in line with expectations.

4)     Booking and updating suppliers to match final details prior to events and working with suppliers to secure preferential rates.

5)     Contacting customers after events to get feedback and encourage repeat bookings within a 48-hour period.

6)     Liaising with the food and beverage team clearly, thoroughly preparing for events using function sheets and attending weekly operations meetings.

7)     Support with the creation and running of internal wedding fayres as well as attending external wedding fayres.

8)     Update the golf clubs’ social media for awareness and sales purposes.  

9)     Booking and finalising Christmas events, including creating place cards, table plans, collecting food choices and chasing final balances.

10)  Conducting outreach and generating new leads in the local area and suggesting methods by which this can be achieved.

11)  Utilising prospect and booking systems accurately and correctly ensuring all documentation is precise and detailed.

 

Additional responsibilities

1)     In the absence of the Golf Sales Advisor meet and greet golf day organisers and follow up to encourage re-booking as well as handling basic enquiries/ messages.

2)     Contribute ideas in team meetings and planning meetings.

3)     Chase deposits and signed terms and conditions forms in line with the company procedures.

4)     Efficient handover of all events to the Food and Beverage team.

5)     Know the product and ensuring our offering is effectively communicated to both current and potential clients.

6)     Adhere to the Key performance indicators set by the Sales Manager.

7)     Complete company training and adhere to the company standards.

8)     Comply with Burhill Golf and Leisure Ltd Personnel Policies and Procedures.

 

Requirements

1)     Knowledge of social media, marketing and lead generation techniques.

2)     Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

3)     Well presented with a professional manner both in person and over the phone.

4)     Capability in utilising basic computer programs.

5)     Good written communication skills and listening skills.

6)     Flexibility in working hours and commitments including weekend and some evenings.

7)     Ability to work within a team and assist in the completion of tasks.

8)     Self-sufficiency and initiative in order to fill the workday and prioritise workload.

9)     Target driven nature and proven ability to meet or exceed targets.
