About the role

VISION OF THE ROLE:

Contributes to the delivery of all aspects of the Food & Beverage operation, events and functions.

To maximise revenue through casual / ad-hoc sales.

To support the Food & Beverage Manager in the development and retention of a team of Food & Beverage professionals, motivating and leading them to deliver exceptional service that meets and exceeds our customer’s needs.

To safeguard the long-term success of Burhill Golf Ltd for its stakeholders, Food & Beverage Supervisor will display determination and focus in supporting the Food and Beverage Manager to drive all  elements of the Food & Beverage area to the highest level ensuring that Aldwickbury Park  is recognised as the premier family-centric golf and leisure destination of the surrounding area.

 

MEASUREMENT OF SUCCESS:

The Food & Beverage Supervisor will be measured against key criteria:

Operating profit (derived from F&B, events, functions)

Annual measurement of staff engagement

Customer loyalty measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS)

F&B audit

Food & Beverage Manager reviews, General Manager reviews, operational feedback, and personal objectives

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic

*         Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in ensuring that all aspects of the food & beverage division are aligned with the overall strategy for the club.

*         Influence and positively manage the development of organisational culture putting the team and their continued development / challenge at the forefront.

*         Keep abreast of changes in the food & beverage market in which the Aldwickbury Park operates and use this knowledge to identify opportunities for all areas of Food & Beverage.

 

Operations

*         Reviews all bookings for catered activities, e.g., banquets, meetings, golf societies, weddings and ensure all appropriate preparation is made in advance.

*         Maintain positive and effective relationships with members and guests through an active presence in the restaurant and events areas, ensuring all customers and members receive a warm welcome and consistent high standard of service.

*         To oversee the daily clubhouse operation.

*         To record all beverage deliveries onto ESP and to order all the relevant goods via F N B Shop.

*         Conduct a daily club tour of the property to ensure a clean and tidy operation.

*         Achieve a minimum of 85% in the F&B audit.

*         Oversee the care and maintenance of all assets, inventory, and resources of the Food & Beverage division.

*         Ensure that Health and Safety procedures are clearly communicated, effectively monitored, and regularly reviewed.

*         Assist in a duty manager capacity as requested by the General Manager.

*         Deputise for the Food & Beverage Manager/Assistant Food & Beverage Manager as required.

 

People

*         People Management – ensure all team members are performing to their optimum ability, recognising and rewarding high and exceptional performance and performance managing under or poor performers.

*         Regular, relevant and timely communication across the teams to ensure full understanding and transparency of company objectives and performance.

*         Take an active role in the recruitment and consistent induction of all staff members, taking overall responsibility for their welfare and their development.

*         Ensure recruitment is completed ethically and legally. Job descriptions, expectations and goals are described at length. Comprehensive note taking at interview stage to reflect the candidate response. Compliance with Right to Live & Work laws and references sought and confirmed.

*         Contribute to regular completion of team member Timeline and Employee Feedback Forms.

*         Ensure personal level of compliance within the BGL Academy is 100% at all times.

*         Maintain a strong network with fellow Food & Beverage team members to support robust collaboration.

 

Financial

*         Assist the Food & Beverage Manager with controlling food and beverage labour costs, in line with set budgets by accurately forecasting staffing levels.

*         Adhere and monitor compliance of purchasing policies and procedures.

*         Ensure all BGL procedures and policies are adhered to.

 

Marketing

*         Maximise sales potential through the marketing of food and beverage events and promotions.

 

Customer Experience

  • Ensure that all team members of the Food & Beverage division consistently deliver outstanding service levels to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
